About

Hi! I'm Kenzie Blue - the baker, decorator, and dreamer behind Le Petit Bleuet.

I've loved baking ever since I was a little girl, and decided to turn my passion into my full-time job. I went to culinary school at the Iowa Culinary Institute in Des Moines, where I was chosen for scholarship that sent me to France for a month. I spent time studying with a Michelin chef where I fell in love with the delicate artistry and intention behind French desserts. Every bite is made with such care and that experience changed the way I view food.

Now I run a bakery out of my home, where everything is made by hand and wrapped with care- from birthday cakes and baby shower cookies to buttery bites and seasonal tartes. Desserts are a wonderful way to create joy, celebrate life's little moments, and bring people together.

I'm so glad you're here.
Who am I?
What does Le Petit Bleuet Mean?
Le Petit Bleuet is french slang for "The Little Blueberry". Bleuet can also translate to "cornflower" - a delicate blue flower that symbols remembrance, simplicity, and quiet beauty. The name is both a nod to my studying in France, and a tribute to my middle name, "Blue". It felt like the perfect blend of who I am and what I love - cozy, soft, and just a little bit whimsical.
